SKYRIM'S GOT TALENT YOU VS THE GUY SHE TELLS YOU NOT TO WORRY ABOUT TLDR: New bard progression system
– About 100 new instrumental songs
– Many easter eggs to brighten your day
– Small Buff/Debuffs, mostly for roleplaying
– No spells, no UI clutter: just click on instrument to play
– NPCs React to your skill dynamically with over 50 different reactions
– Mod only runs when performing music (35 seconds) then it shuts down ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WELCOME My good friend, you seem tired, so come and take a seat by the fire. It's time to relax, don't be in a hurry, cause you're about to hear a story. The province of Skyrim is a beautiful land, always full of things anyone would want: Magic, dragons and mountain-bike-horses, yet definitely not enough musical courses. If you happen to find a flute, lute or drum, open your inventory and just activate one. "Ok, music plays yet this is nothing unique. no offense, but your idea is quite weak." USERS MOCK AND SAY "Listen, this is a big waste of time… Have you been drinking too much wine?" "Why should I download this, Mr. Jay, when other mods are better anyway?!" It hurts to read that's what you think Yet I assure you water is all I drink. It's true, other similar mods exist, but Skyrim's Got Talent has a twist! WHAT TWIST, THE CROWD GASPS At the start of your musical path, others might stare and laugh. immersive, same as in real life: only with practice you can thrive. First, you will sound very much terrible; Cover your ears, as it's unbearable. You will need to play often to improve, for as a bard you have much left to prove. Perhaps you might join the bards college, thus giving you faster musical knowledge. Big on talent, but short on gold? Grab your flute and dare to be bold! Most bards at inns can now be tipped, & from them musical lessons can be picked. Tunes are instrumental and last 35 seconds, but if another duty mid-song suddenly beckons, press E or "activate" to stop the performance, yet know you get no bard progress in accordance. After a song depending on your skill, you might feel inspired, happy or even ill. These buffs/debuffs are small so don't go aching: They're all temporary and none game-breaking. Once you progress and sound great some NPCs will gather and celebrate. May you hide if you lack skill and technique, for the citizens of Skyrim are quick to critique. NEW SONGS? WHAT IS REQUIRED? For "Skyrim's Got Talent" to work fine, you must download a favorite of mine. Not many are aware of BA Bard Songs: it's a gem that in every load order belongs. Plenty of new beautiful songs are included, and I assure you their quality is undisputed. Install it right now so my mod can work, then please endorse it, don't be a dork. SILENCE, YOU VILE BARD! For annoyed of this description you must be, behold the video below and of my rhyming be free. There's also a detailed FAQ that might be helpful read before you ask, and please stay respectful. Traditional FAQ (This assumes you have watched the video or read the feature list above)
– Is this a build-defining mod? No, the buffs/debuffs that you get are not big enough for that. Playing music is just another fun activity your character can do. Say you find a flute in your travels. I think it's only natural you will want to play it for a bit. It might develop into a habit, it might not, but now you have the opportunity to do that. Good thing about this mod is that it does not clutter your menus with spells, it never runs any scripts in the background and it doesn't touch vanilla records. So basically, you can have it installed and never use an instrument and it will be like you never installed it, but if you decide to go that route, mod is ready for you.
– What are the buffs/debuffs like? All of them last for 10 minutes and *might* apply after finishing a song. Sometimes you will need a couple of songs to activate them, the muses work that way. Depending on your skill, the number will be tier 1/2 and positive (buff) or negative (debuff). All of effects have good explanations and cool names inside the game. Buffs/Debuffs do not accumulate. Drum: +10 Fortify Health / +20 Fortify Health (Can be -10/-20 depending on your skill) Flute: 10% Better Prices / 20% Better Prices (Can be -10/-20 depending on your skill) Lute: +10 Fortify S+M / +20 Fortify S+M (Can be -10/-20 depending on your skill)
– Why would I tip bards? They play their music for free anyway! Hey! Tipping those that work for free making mods non-stop without sleep in benefit of others is a very important feature! I included the feature cause it's now more consistent with my mod. When you are the one playing a song at an inn and your skill is high enough, you might receive small donations, so it's only fair that you can also contribute to bards. Tipping bards plays a short animation and gives you the gift of charity.
– Where do the songs come from? You copyright thief! The big bulk of the songs come from the amazing BA Bard Songs, kudos to Shiholude for putting together such a fantastic and fitting collection. That mod is required for mine to work, so please, make sure you endorse it after downloading. It will enhance the inns significantly, even if you decide not to install my mod. A couple of extra songs have been added on top of BA Bard Songs, for which I've received permission to use. Full list of artists can be found in the permission tab. Thanks to all the amazing artists that gave me their permission. Special thanks to SureAI, the team behind the amazing Enderal, as 4 of the additional songs come from them, same goes for Santiago Molina, a very talented musician that can play almost any instrument, Tine Sylkie, whose flute songs are beyond this world and covers all sort of game-related music, Evan Handyside and his magic guitar, Jon Antonsson and his love for music and so many more. I very much recommend checking the YouTube channels of the talented artists and subscribing if you enjoy their work. They have some insane pieces and this mod wouldn't be possible without their collaboration. Check the permission tab to see the full list!
– Why are there so many scripts? You're gonna ruin my game! There's only one main script (the one that makes the music plays, and it's quite straight-forward), everything else you see on the script folder are dialogue fragments. Fragments are mini-scripts with one or two lines that are created automatically by the game when adding special dialogue options. Simple things like making the NPC raise their arms when talking or turning around to look at you when saying their line. Nothing you should be concerned about. Also, as mentioned above, the mod only runs for 30 seconds (duration of a song) when you activate an instrument. It does not run in the background, it does not activate without you playing a song. Once the song ends, my mod stops all its functions.
– I keep playing songs, but I don't feel like I'm advancing! There are 5 ranks per instrument. You need about 25 points to go from one rank to the next. Each rank includes 3 to 8 new songs. Some ranks include songs from other ranks when it's fitting, so the number of songs you can play multiplies.
– Rank 1: Clueless (Debuffs)
– Rank 2: Beginner (Debuffs)
– Rank 3: OK (No Buffs or Debuffs during this stage)
– Rank 4: Pretty Good (Buffs)
– Rank 5: Master (Buffs) Each time you complete a song, your expertise in that instrument increases by 1 to 5 base points. Final # of points can vary depending on a couple of things:
– If you have completed the Bard College, you will learn much faster (+2 points per song)
– If you are feeling rested (vanilla effect), you will learn much faster (+2 points per song)
– If you are tired (suffering a debuff from this mod) or diseased, you will learn much slower (-2 points)
– You can also pay a Bard to teach you what they know (via voiced dialogue), which will increase your expertise in all 3 instruments by 10 points. For bards to be able to teach you, you will need 100 Gold and at least be carrying one instrument. Keep in mind: Each bard can only teach you what they know once, so #GoCatchThemAll. To tell what rank you are in, just read the messages that appear in the top left corner of the screen after performing a song. Besides being funny, they can give you an indication of how much progress you're making.
– NPCs are not reacting anymore! NPCs are reacting too much! Most of the reactions have a time limit on them, which means characters can say them once per hour. So just wait a couple of hours and they will be more reactive again. If you notice a reaction coming too often, I can look into decreasing how often it comes. But keep in mind: as you know, the voice types in Skyrim are quite limited. If you play songs for the same voice types, they only have 1 or 2 reactions, so it's either they use that or nothing. Also, when you're in the "middle ground" rank (rank 3), NPCs will not react. You're not good enough for them to gather around you, but also not bad enough for them to roast you alive, so not much will happen then.
– Is this compatible with X bard mod? Can I add my own songs? No, it's not compatible with other bard mods. I'm sure they can work side by side (nothing will break, at least from my mod's side) but they will not be working together, but independently. If you are really into bard stuff, you might want to look at the other mods instead of this one. My mod is just a Lite approach to a bard playthrough. I want it to be there and be good if I choose that route, but I don't want the mod to be defining my entire playthrough. As for custom songs, you could add your own songs, it should be relatively simple, but we'll deal with a tutorial for that at some other point.
– Why only instrumental? This is not Fallout 4, my characters don't have a voice. I think it works best if the songs are just instrumental to work together with the rest of the game.
– "My character has a background in music and progressing through your mod takes too long. Is there a way to speed it up?" Yes, yes, I get it! You want cheat codes! Unbelievable!! I see you're a follower of the doctrines of modern day philosopher Sweet Brown, who once shared her wisdom with all of us when she said Ain't Nobody Got Time For That! To increase your skill instantly open the console and type: Set _Talent_Flute to 100 This will give you the maximum skill in the flute (by cheating), giving you access to the best new songs. Same can be done for _Talent_Drum and _Talent_Lute. Edit -> If planning to cheat: please look closely, there's a space between set and _talent_lute
– Didn't you say you were taking a break from modding? I know, I know. Hopefully it works this time. DON'T GIVE ME IDEAS FOR MODS, STAY AWAY! I want to play other games too! — This mod is now included in 🗺️ A Dynamic World

1.76
2024-09-07 20:46
Version 1.76 - Safe to update mid-game. - Main File: Made the unvoiced lines compatible with "Fuz Ro D-Oh", as it was causing the NPCs to move the lips without talking. Instead, if you ask a custom voiced follower to play music with you, but there's no specific lines recorded for them, they will just use their body language to say yes and you can play music afterwards. - Auri Patch: Fixed one incorrect prompt and enhanced one line of audio that had a "pop" sound. - New Patch: Xelzaz Has Talent! - This is ESL flagged and requires the original mod. - The talented BluePwnsU, creator and voice actor behind Xelzaz, has kindly worked with me on making this patch that adds support between Xelzaz and Skyrim's Got Talent. - Depending on his disposition regarding the player, Xelzaz will have different lines towards the player and their music. - With enough disposition, Xelzaz will also be able to play the flute or the drum, but not the Lute as that's an instrument he's not familiar with. (Xelzaz Lore Expansion! :P) - If you have Nebarra installed and in your party, Xelzaz has one additional line with him. Version 1.75 - Safe to update mid-game. - See the update in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvQfMClq9Lw - No scripts have been edited in this update, so patches will continue to work just fine. - Fixed a bug that would make certain unique NPCs unable to react to your music. Now you might hear people like - Ancano, Vex or Kodlak react to your music. - Asking a follower that doesn't have a voiced reaction (modded followers) will no longer play an muted line, but will instead make them nod. This is way better as I hate unvoiced dialogue. - Re-organized line priority so there's a bit more variety when playing in crowded locations. - Bruma plugin: updated to work with the last version of the mod. - Inigo plugin: Fixed one of the reactions where he could address you with the wrong pronoun. - I'm also happy to announce that the amazing Merrigan (Author and voice of Auri, besides a super talented musician) and I have collaborated in a small addon for Skyrim's Got Talent, which you can download in the optional files. This will make Auri react to your musical skill level with lots of different reactions, and you can even play music with her. This plugin is ESL-flagged and requires Auri. Enjoy! Version 1.74 - Please disregard this version, it was missing a few fixes that were uploaded one hour later. Version 1.73 - Tiny update. Small changes. Safe to update mid-game. - Basically I've made it so on the highest musical level, playing for your follower and friends gives them a bonus. The bonus is 25 H/M/S for a few minutes. - I've made this addition super simple so no script changes are needed (and I don't break mods that change the SGT scripts). In the future I might consider expanding on this. Version 1.72 - Tiny update. Small changes. Safe to update mid-game. - Inigo now has reactions for your music, good or bad. Download the patch in the optional files for this. This (ESL-flagged) patch has been put together by TheCyclist, one of my favorite mod authors. If you haven't checked their profile, do so now! You also have some SGT addons made by TheCyclist, including Interesting NPCs reactions. Yay. - Script change: Fixed third person not being forced on the player while playing instruments. I mention it's a script change because mods that edit "_Talent_PlayInstrument" will need an update. - Beggars will still be able to enjoy your performances and cheer for you, but they won't give you money. It just felt weird lol. - Speaking of weird, Borri has a flute in his inventory the vanilla game, which makes him able to play songs with you. As fun as this is, I think it's best to leave the Greybeards alone in their silence, so I've excluded him. Sorry! - I've moved the ALLGUD patch to "Old Files" as AllGUD is now kind of out of date. As good as it was back in the day, everyone should now use IED, so I've sort of hidden it in the old files category. Version 1.71 - Hotfixed in just a couple of hours. Please read changelog for 1.72. Version 1.70 - Hello fellow bards! Safe to update mid-game :) - Added 15 new songs (Thanks to the artists that allowed me their use - Full list of artists will be updated shortly!) - Songs have been added to the categories with the fewest songs. This is so you have even more variety while on your bard journey. We've got good songs, bad songs, duos... a bit of everything! Enjoy the new content :) - Bug fix: There was still a rare case where it was possible for quest instruments to break during performances. You just can't help yourself, can you. This should make it 100% impossible. - That's the changelog for today. I hope you learn lots of new skills in this 2024! Maybe pick up an instrument? I promise not to boo you! I'll be one of those kind NPCs that say "Not bad! Keep at it !" Version 1.64 - Small changes. Safe to update mid-game. - This mod now adds support for "Description Framework". Meaning if you have that framework installed, instruments will show a description explaining what they do. Link to Description Framework: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/105799 - Adds support for unequipping torch items that are not torches (Say what now!) Thanks to lilebonymace for the tweak. - If you have True Directional Momevent installed, playing the instruments will temporarily stop headtracking. This is done to make sure the animations look good and aligned to your characters head. Version 1.63 - Safe to update mid-game. Tiny update. - Figured out why sometimes the bad or good reactions would get stuck. This happened if you exited playing music too fast by activating something or jumping. Solved now! Version 1.62 - Small update. Safe to update mid-game. - Custom bard teacher reactions: when you pay for musical lessons, you will now get a mini fun sound effect as part of the lesson. - Fixed the fadeout effect of the teaching reactions to look more natural. - Reduced size of the mod (by replacing wavs by fuz and swm files) - Have fun with SGT! Don't forget to stay hydrated this Summer <3. Version 1.61 - Small update. Safe to update mid-game. - This update includes a fix for people experiencing your character playing music at random times. Shoutout to Project Skyrim and Charolas for their help with this one. - This update should also get rid of a rare situation where you couldn't play instruments as the game thought you were still performing. How it works now: when equipping an instrument, the old performance (if stuck or whatever) stops and everything resets to 0, then you start your new performance. - For mod authors and patchers: All changes from this update are in "_Talent_Givespell.psc", all the other files remain the same as 1.60. Version 1.60 - *Skyrim's Got Talent - 1.60 Update (WORLD TOUR EDITION)* - See all the changes over here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM4gQPF1_pQ - Around 40 new reactions. Yep! This time including reactions for characters with unique voices: Vex, Draugr, Astrid, Delphine, Esbern, Ancano, Cicero, Galmar, Kodlak... - Dancer's Flute can now be played. Instead of applauding, some people will do a silly dance when listening to you play this special flute... but only if you're good enough. - There's a new (exciting) optional download that allows you to move while playing the instrument. You gain mobility (duh) but you lose the swaying from side to side from the original animations. Plugin is flagged as ESL. Requirements: DAR + AnimObject Swapper - Please, note: With enabled movement comes the possibility of breaking the animation in many ways. Like for example... falling to water, ragdolling, etc. Music will continue playing after you break the animation, so use the optional feature responsibly. - Animal Reactions: Dogs, Wolves, Huskies, Horses and Cows now react to the lower sets of skill. They will hate your music and let you know :( - Bruma patch has been updated to work with the changes in 1.60. - Bug fixes: CREEPY MANNEQUINS: I thought I removed this, but it should be fixed for good now: No Mannequins will tip you for your performance. Creepy AF, thank you no thank you mannequin, go back to being dead. - Bug fixes: LURBUK, STOP BREAKING THE GAME: It was possible to get "infinite negative comments" after visiting the inn at Morthal and listening to Lurbuk sing (Lol). Should be fixed now. - Bug fixes: DELAYED MUSIC: Before, trying to play music while sitting would make you play once you stand up. No longer the case Version 1.50 - Main things are covered in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5krHWlXUzA - NEW FEATURES & TWEAKS - Pretty big update! Safe to update mid-game :) - NPCs will now react to the middle awkward stage, with encouraging comments, but sometimes there will be some mixed reactions too. That is the stage that had no reactions before. - Fellow bards have certain special reactions to you / your music. - Around 80 new lines in total. - Lurbuk gets... new stuff. I did not edit the vanilla quest to avoid compatibility issues, so he will continue being OK at playing music. However, now he will also sing sometimes. Prepare to laugh. Also, NPCs will react to his singing. - 12 new songs. Mostly in the lower stages, to add more variety, but there's a bit of everything. Shoutout to the new amazing artists being featured in this update:* Oregano Namikaze and their recorder: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDY46nW32z3EA6_78bJ3Sgw* Fellow Skyrim modder, cool person all-around and awesome musician Dazz: https://dazzofjazz.bandcamp.com/fan-club* Solomonisms and his ACTUAL lute. How cool is that? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHVs7dv-JLIH7KSAl6dnkogMake sure to check these people out and send them some love! They deserve it :) - Made each stage a bit longer, meaning you will need to play 3 or 4 extra songs to advance to the next stage. Why? So experience a sense of pride and accomplishment when you make it! - In a similar vein, before this update you would always get at least 1 point of experience after a song. Now you have the chance of getting 0 points, if you're "tired" (meaning: under the influence of a musical debuff). This way you cannot spam songs until you're a professional, but must rest in between. - Optional File: Very light support for Bruma: This ESL plugin enables a couple of negative reactions in Bruma. Nothing amazing, the original patch had around 30 reactions, but unfortunately most of them were not recorded or implemented yet by the Beyond Skyrim Bruma team, so it's been reduced a lot. There are like 4 or 5 possible reactions in Bruma with this installed. Also, during certain bard scene in a certain inn, people will react too. - Optional File: Fixed the animation with the flute not aligning well with the mouth, resulting in a magic flute that sounds without putting it in the mouth... or even worse, your character putting the flute in their nose. Fix can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/69609 - BUG FIXES - Wounded soldiers (Whiterun Temple or from Civil War camps) do not just automatically stand up to applaud. I'm sorry, your music is not THAT good. - When doing duos, followers carrying a shield would not perform the instrument animations and would just stand there awkwardly. The shield now gets removed automatically and the animations start playing as normal. - You could play two instruments at the same time before. I never thought of adding a check for this cause like, why would anyone ever try this. Well, silly me. Should be fixed now. - There was a chance to get a notification that you're getting a debuff, but not actually get any. This is now fixed. - Audience quest was missing a fragment file. Nothing big. Added the source files for whatever was missing too. Version 1.23 - After testing the mod for a while, I realized progress was way too slow. Headaches happen too often at the beginning, which means you might even lose musical points after a performance. That's not a great gaming experience. Version 1.23 makes it so you might only gain progress after a performance, and never LOSE progress. The number of "musical points" each performance gives you will depend on the same values as before (Speech, Rested Bonus, Bard College...) but you will only ever improve. Keep at it, my dear bards <3 Version 1.22 - This version adds an extra condition to one of the scripts. Some people were experiencing instruments playing on their own (spooky!), this is meant to help with that. It was quite the rare bug since not many people complained about this and I was never able to replicate it, but in theory this update should help with that. If you were not experiencing this bug, no need to update. Version 1.21 - 1.21 mini update: Safe to update mid-game. Soothing music: Once you reach the maximum level in an instrument (which should take you quite some time to achieve), music will be able to calm animals. The effect lasts 30 secs and nearby animals that listened will not attack you during or after the performance, unless you attack them first. I do not consider this OP in any way since it's a weakened version of the first word of the shout "Kyne's Peace". Obviously it's not super realistic, but animals do react to music IRL. It's also fully optional and you only unlock it at the maximum music level as an easter-egg reward, so yeah, might be a funny feature to add more unique stories to your game :)If you didn't check the changelog for version 1.2, please do so now. I added 50 new songs, duets and some other features. Have fun, stay safe! Version 1.2 - Skyrim's Got Talent 1.2 - "It Takes Two" Update (June 19th 2021) Watch video for a visual demonstration of this update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-6pKsAtDw8• Biggest change: DUOS! If you are good enough (at least 65/100 bard knowledge points), you can talk to bards or any NPC carrying an instrument to start playing together. Please, mind that the NPC must be standing for this to work, and if they are currently doing something else, the animation might fail (no big deal, just cancel pressing E as usual and try again). There's no "skill" system for followers, so even Lydia can be your side-kick when it comes to performing music. Roleplaying wise, you can say Lydia has been taking classes on the side, or she's learned by looking at you perform... or just don't give her an instrument, and the option will never show up in dialogue.• Let the music flow! Around 50 new songs (All levels, duos, etc.)• Adjusted sound for some songs that were too loud/quiet• If you start playing music while in first person, the camera will return you to first person after performing• ALLGUD as separate patch + misc favourite compatibility: My method of detecting ALLGUD without a patch was causing some trouble with some mods like (favourite misc items) and it required me to pause ALLGUD detection during certain quest stages. This was a bit too much hassle for my taste, so I've implemented a new way to detect and hide instruments on your character via ALLGUD. This however requires a small ESL patch. This patch is optional, the only thing it does is hide your instruments on display while you're playing music. Version 1.1 - 1.11- Safe to update mid-playthrough(Small bug fixes)• The citizens from Bruma were very enthusiastic about your music, so much that they continue applauding for hours in some rare instances (lol). There's now a failsafe that forces the scene to end after the performance no matter what.• Playing with a torch equipped would play no animation. Now, the player will remove the torch before starting to play.• Due to the Allgud compatibility update, mod would accidentally change the name of the special instruments from the bards college (the one's you're asked to retrieve) if you played them. For example: From "Pantea's Flute" to just "Flute". This was in no way quest-breaking (you can still give the instrument back and complete the quest, even after the item has changed its name, so not a big deal)... but I can imagine this was going to cause heart attacks for a couple of you, so I temporarily disable the ALLGud compatibility when you reach that stage of the bardcollegequest for the specific instrument you have in your inventory. Once you give the item back, Allgud compatibility returns back to normal. Even if you don't use allgud, this is still relevant for you: Every time you play an instrument and you have terrible musical knowledge, there's a tiny chance that you break the instrument. You could in theory break Pantea's Flute for example... which is not nice. The quest still works and you can complete it, but it's funny. Anyway, you won't be able to break flutes as long as you have that special flute in your inventory. Same goes for the other instruments. Kind of a cheat, but whatever, the breaking of instruments is just a fun easter egg anyway to make you laugh, not a proper game mechanic.1.10- Safe to update mid-playthrough•6 New Flute Songs: thanks to the amazing Tine Sylkie (Check her channel, you won't regret it!). These are all pro songs, but please: if you can play an instrument IRL (especially if you can play it terribly) we need more terrible songs. Don't be shy, reach out. It'll be fun and it's just 34 seconds :)• BOOOOOOOing! Yes, you will now get literally booooed. Using the sound from the Solitude execution, people will now boo you if you are terrible. (At least you get to keep your head, unless poor old Roggvir)• 9 new positive interactions. Some nice ones like "I could listen to her play all day", "Mara smiles upon us this day!" or "You and I should spend some time together" (sexy voice).• 9 new negative interactions. They're all super funny, hope I can get a laugh out of you. "Please, stop! I'll pay! Just stop!", "I just can't... take the pain... one second longer...", "I think you need practice", "Stop, in the name of the Jarl!", "Is this punishment for my past? Is it Mara's will to torment me so?", "Look at that fool!", and of course: "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"• ALLGUD compatibility: Allgud has this amazing feature that lets you carry your instruments on your back. This is great for a bard playthrough, however: the instruments would be displayed both in your hands (when playing) and on your back. I've made it so they disappear from your back as soon as you start playing, and return to being displayed after you finish.• USSEP carry over: One of the flutes didn't have the changes from Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch, this is now fixed.• No Musical Bonus XP Bug: There was a bug that didn't make the bonuses (Being rested, finishing the bard college, etc.) count towards your XP, so it was just the base XP. This is now fixed.• Speech bonus: I felt musical XP progress was too slow and speech is always such a forgotten skill... so I added a subtle small bonus to the musical XP based on your total speechcraft. The higher your speechcraft level, the faster you will learn music. • Interesting NPCs: Not part of the changelog but still relevant: If using Interesting NPCs, your game might crash when you ask a bard to perform with you. This is unrelated to my mod, it happens with or without it. The solution seems to be using the loose files from 3DNPC, as opposed to the BSA files. It also seems safe to just unpack the BSA yourself, as that's what I did and it's working fine. Version 1.0 - Release
